Hayu masi, Tony, pus k'ilapay wawa !

  In this case, the bird whose wing bones were used to make the long needles for mats is any of them (herons, cranes etc.) or only a certain species?

    I have just a little question: "yuLqat thiya7wit" refers to the blue heron in particular or means "heron" in general? (are there several species of herons in the area?)

    I've never seen a specific word for this bird, either. Not sure why there is not one, but perhaps this bird lacked usefulness in a CJ context?
