Bonjour à tous,
I also feel a strong English influence for these words.
- 'labins' from beans (note that in Québec, les beans/bines (f) is usual for what we call 'haricots (blancs)')
- 'lapeyl' from (lunch) pail
- 'lident' from dandelion, which is 'pissenlit' in modern French, even in Canada. Indeed, 'en' is more open in Québec, that is more [eN] than our [aN].
