[Corpora-List] corpus linguistics

As a relative newbie to the list, I cast a subdued vote for the continuance
of good debate. If there is serious disagreement among two factions about
what the list should do, perhaps it would be good to split the one list into
two lists and let people subscribe to one or both depending on their
interests. Those who object to the debate part could subscribe only to the
announcement list, while those who prefer the debate part could subscribe to
both lists. That might please both points of view.
JMHO,
Rich

Another (enthusiastic) vote for the thread to continue.
I share the view that the discussion addresses issues that should be
of central concern to any corpus linguist -- or linguist, for that
matter.
