[Corpora-List] corpus linguistics

I'm a newcomer / observer on the list, so I haven't weighed in - but I
would like to voice support for Antoinette Renouf and Geoffrey Williams,
as well as those who sent complaints to the list moderator outside the
list. The latter have caught a bit of trouble from a couple of
commenters and I would like to point out that it's perfectly consistent
for people to complain about mailing list clutter in a way that does not
further clutter the mailing list.

If only it were true. Message filtering is how I've been handling it -
but the thread has been renamed a few times. It started as something
like "Chomsky and computationnel linguistics", was renamed to "Chomsky
and computational linguistics", and has branched out into "is a complete
grammar possible?", "ad-hoc generalization and meaning", and now "corpus
linguistics".

I don't really mind one way or the other if the discussion continues,
but I would like to request that people keep the thread name consistent.

Regards,
