 Greetings from CERCLL!
We are excited to invite you to the 10th International Conference on the Development and Assessment of Intercultural Competence - Intercultural Competence in a Rapidly Changing World: Supporting Sustainable Futures for All.
After 20 years of bringing together researchers and practitioners across languages, levels, and settings to foster meaningful dialogue on intercultural competence, ICC 2026 will be the final iteration of this event!
This conferemce will feature three distinguished plenary speakers: Vanessa de Oliveira (University of Victoria), Irina Golubeva (University of Maryland, Baltimore County), and Ricardo Römhild, along with presenters from around the globe.
Presentations will explore critical questions including: What role might intercultural communicative language education play in promoting a more sustainable world? What might this education look like in practice? And what are the implications for teachers and learners?
ICC 2026 is an invitation for educators to reflect on how they could re-envision what they teach and how they teach it to meaningfully address global crises with the goal of building a sustainable future for all.
