Vasilev is incorrect. The word lists recorded by the Flemish (not Dutch)
ambassador were defintely not Yiddish (I myself can read and speak some
Yiddish) and not German (HochDeutsch oder PlattDeutsch) for that matter.
There is the possibility of some German words mixed in from contact
between Germans and Goths, but a great percentage of the words from
Ghislaine's list are Gothic showing a development from an East Germanic
dialect cognate with (but not descended from) Wulfilas' Gothic. Vasilev
seems to be either a biased Anti-Semite or Anti-German or both.
