[Lexicog] asking for advice

I have never seen such a dictionary.
 
When I translate (technical, Japanese to English), I use almost exclusively
two tools. One is a 400,000-plus word dictionary on my computer that
generally has the word I need. The other is an online technical dictionary
boasting more than a million entries.
 
On rare occasions when I have something less technical, I do need synonyms.
I most frequently use the Microsoft Word thesaurus because it is quick and
easy to use. By far, however, I prefer Rodale's "The Synonym Finder", which
is the only thesaurus I've found that consistently gives me the synonym I'm
looking for. I wish I had it on my computer!
 
For these reasons, it would be time-consuming and expensive to develop such
a dictionary-thesaurus for Japanese and English. It would have to be
produced in a CD format with vast quantities of data for it to be more
useful than the tools I and so many other J>E translators use.
 
With Wiki projects, the Logos dictionary and other online dictionaries, such
a project seems not likely to be economically feasible for many other
languages such as Spanish>English and French>Italian, though I am not
familiar with the state of translation for such languages.
 
For Hindi and other languages, however, your project might be a valuable
enterprise that translators and students would be willing to pay for if such
resources as I mention above are not available. Again, though, the quantity
of data required to make it a useful tool might be overwhelming.

Yes exactly you are right. It is a time-consuming workn but it will be of
great help to the translators. Have you ever come across such work. I am
unfamiliar to this field it would be of great help if any one can guide me
in this area.

It is different from bilingual dictionary because bilingual dictionary just
provides us meaning in another language where as it is just like thesaurus
but it will be in the bilingual form. Bilingual thesaurus will provide
equivalents to the English synonyms.

Well bilingual thesaurus is something, which contains two languages as such
as bilingual dictionary.  And it is useful for translators who deals with
English -Hindi translation.

When I translate, I sometimes use an English monolingual thesaurus to help
me find a more appropriate term, but I've never run across a book such as
you describe.

I am trying to compile a bilingual thesaurus (English-Hindi) which will be
exclusively meant for translators. It is my doctoral research. I would like
