It would be great to develop a series of bilingual dictionaries (not etymological ones) from the lesser Romance languages into Spanish and viceversa: of course this need is already met for those spoken on the Iberian Peninsula but what about Gascon (not Aranese), Occitan, Provencal, Sardinian (Logodurese, Campidanese), Rhetoromansch (at least the standardized idiom Romansch Grischun), Dolomitan Ladin, Friulian, Arumanian, Meglenorumanian and Italian dialects?. I suppose there are plenty of people acquainted with Spanish and these languages and on the basis of the best published and unpublished dictionaries and vocabularies from and to these languages in the relevant languages it would not be so difficult nor work-demanding and, furthermore, the database resulting from the excerpting may be put at disposal of other researchers and lexicographers interested in a cut short for versions in their own languages: combine resources and work and so cover the
 whole range of lesser used Romance languages with dictionaries from and to Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian and Catalan. the dictionaries must be developed as both a published and on-line or downloadable final product. A dictionary from and to one of the more spoken languages would be an asset for the endangered languages in order to raise their prestige among the primary users

I am working on a similar project but comprising French, Occitan, Provençal, Catalan, Asturian,
Galician, Aragonese, Spanish & Portuguese; however, I am st ill gathering sources so I w ill be
able to profit from Jorcaiba’s findings.  Because of the overlap, I am sorely tempted just to turn 
my findings over to him for his expanded Romance dictionary.  I an fluent enough in written Italian
but not in Sardinian (any of the three dialects) or Sicilian.  The Rhaeto-Romance languages and
Romanian are other areas of nescience for me.  
 
I did a very limited study once with English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian based on
the vocabulary of the Authorized Version of the Bible.  It was fun to do before all of the databases
came out: I started it in longhand, and finished it in Lotus 1-2-3. The ‘false friends’ were incredible.
