Another way to work with those fonts is to create a new format using the SIL
font of your choice.  Make it a "character" format and create a quick key
way to call up that format  (e.g., Alt+d).  Then, whenever you want to use
the SIL font, you just hit your quick key, type the transcription you have,
and then hit Ctrl+space to get back to normal typing.  Your Symbol inserts
should default to the SIL font when you are in the transcription format.
