Gabelentz at Humboldt

As many of you know, the Association for Linguistic Typology has a 
Gabelentz Award (see http://www.linguistic-typology.org/awards.html).

If you want to know more about Georg von der Gabelentz (who coined the 
term "typology"), there's an exhibit at the Humboldt University in 
Berlin from 15 July through 14 August 2010 (see 
http://www.hu200.de/veranstaltung/ausstellung/familiengeschichtliche-ausstellung-uber-georg-von-der-gabelentz/?set_language=de).

On 9-10 August, there's a Gabelentz conference 
(http://www.ost-west-gesellschaft.de/konferenz2010.htm), with 
participation by Walter Bisang, Christian Lehmann, Bernhard Hurch, Akio 
Ogawa, and other linguists.
