Dear all,
There's a mailing list for researchers working on large-scale
cross-linguistic databases:
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/cross-linguistic-databases
You are most welcome to join.
It was created after the workshop "Language Comparison with Linguistic
Databases" in Nijmegen and aims to bring together linguists who are
compiling such databases and people who use the data, but don't
(necessarily) have a background in linguistics.
It's not been full of discussion so far, but hopefully that will change
leading up to ALT this year.
*Other related news:*
DiACL (Diachronic Atlas of Comparative Linguistics) has just been released.
https://diacl.ht.lu.se/
The deadline for ALT is Friday this week, including for the two workshops
on cross-linguistic databases and quantitative methods.
