[Lingtyp] Patholinguistics and "smaller" languages

Dear all,

I am curious about linguistic research pertaining to the impediment of
the language apparatus, as the result of traumatic head injury or as a
symptom of neurodegenerative diseases, built on languages other than
major European languages such as English, German, and French. If you
happen to be aware of good scholarship of this type, can you point me in
the right direction? (I have some sources already but want to create an
overview, especially as regards the question: how does what we've
observed for European languages translate to typologically distant
languages?)

Obviously this is an incredibly difficult subject to research in a
sensitive manner, so perhaps it's not surprising that scholarship on the
topic is not as diverse as one might hope.

Best,
Jeremy
