POSITION AVAILABLE
Applications are invited for the position of a temporary full-time
instructor of Japanese language beginning August 1996. Qualifications:
(1) An M.A. in Japanese linguistics, literature, or a related field,
(2) native or near native fluency in Japanese, and (3) prior teaching
experience at the university or college level. Teaching responsibility
on Elementary & Intermediate or Advanced level. Special consideration
for candidate able to teach a course in Business Japanese. Salary

One-Year Visiting Position (Semantics)
The Linguistics Department at the University of Rochester has an
opening for a one-year visiting assistant professor with a primary
specialty in (formal) semantics beginning in September, 1996. The
position requires teaching 4 courses, two at the undergraduate level,
and two at the graduate level (including a research seminar and if
possible a course in DRT). A strong record of research and teaching
are most desirable. Salary commensurate with experience.
