Account Supervisor

Position Objective: To execute research-based studies on
doctor-patient communication in specific, targeted disease states
through the coordination of physician participation, the analysis of
data produced and the presentation of findings to clinical and
marketing audiences.

Responsibilities

-Liaise with physicians via phone to describe study goals and
 methodology in order to recruit them and manage their participation

-Interact with MBS/Vox team members and consultants to identify
 patterns in the talk to analyze

-Perform both qualitative and quantitative analyses of the transcripts
 and report on findings

-Collaborate with MBS/Vox team members to create presentations for
 client meetings based on research findings

-Attend client meetings and actively present to audience

-Follow-up with clients on further analyses and ways to tactically
 implement study results

-Provide input for new proposal ideas and specifications for future
 research topics to MBS/Vox management

Knowledge and Skills:

-Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred. Relevant areas
 of study include one or more of the following:

Linguistics
Face-to-face communication
English/literary narrative theory
Medical anthropology
Sociology

-Knowledge of and/or experience with healthcare/pharmaceutical
 marketing and medical education

-Detail-oriented in order to performed fine-grained textual analysis
 of transcripts integral to the discourse analytic process

-Desire to work in a small team with the opportunity to develop a
 variety of skill sets and show initiative to pitch in when needed on
 all types of assignments

-Ability to maintain flexibility and teamwork in a fast-paced,
 demanding work environment with late nights and some regional travel
