Conversations in Integrating K-16

Saturday, March 8, 2008
Burkshire Marriott Conference Hotel, Towson, MD

The Center for Transnational Women's Issues (www.c4twi.org) and The
International Exchange Institute (www.i-e-instiute.org) are pleased to announce
the 1st Annual Conference on Challenges and Trends in 21st Century Education:
Conversations in Integrating K-16. The theme of this year's conference is
Integrating Gender, Culture and Technology into K-16 Education.

Our main goal for this conference is to bring all the community stakeholders of
K-16 Education together to meet, network, and exchange ideas and perspectives
about the K-16 education pipeline.

We are inviting college and university professors; linguists, teachers and
administrators of high, middle and elementary schools in the public,
independent, charter and home school sectors; students; parents, businesses;
local, state and federal government officials and community based organizations
in Maryland and other states.

It is our hope for every participant to not only hear from others about
challenges and trends for K-16 education but to create a forum to begin
developing solutions and actions and to determine the issues to work and follow
up on at the next annual conference in March 2009.

Please go to the www.c4twi.org/events web site for further information about the
program, registration, and to join our pre-conference discussion groups.
