Description:
Following the success of its English Language and Literature Unit of
Assessment in the l2008 RAE, the School of Humanities seeks to appoint a
Professor in the following subject area:
Professor in English Language and Communication 09/229
Applications are invited from outstanding researchers working in any area
of linguistics although preference may be given to candidates with research
expertise in discourse analysis, sociolinguistics and/or stylistics. The
successful candidate will play a major role in directing the research
culture of the English Language and Communication field. For more
