San Francisco State University seeks a generalist in theoretical linguistics
with a specialization in syntax and interest/knowledge of computational
linguistics, beginning Fall 2015.  Ph.D. in Linguistics or all doctoral
requirements completed by 8/1/15.  Applicant should be able/willing to teach
undergraduate courses in phonology/morphology, syntax, and introductory
linguistics, and graduate seminars in syntax and corpus linguistics.
Preferably, the candidate can design courses in CL/NLP. Applicant’s duties
will include general advising of graduate and undergraduate linguistics
students, and supervising graduate MA theses.  An ideal candidate will also
have experience working with a diverse student body that includes TESOL
students and English Education students.  Teaching load: 3 courses per
semester.  Salary competitive, commensurate with qualifications.  Initial
interviews at January Linguistic Society Conference in Portland, Oregon.
