We are pleased to invite you to participate in the international
scientific and practical conference “Linguistics, Literature,
Translation and Teaching Languages in Times of War” which  will be
held on June 12–13, 2025, organized by the Department of Theory,
Practice, and Translation of English, Faculty of Linguistics, Igor
Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (Kyiv, Beresteiskyi Avenue, 37, H.
I. Denysenko Scientific and Technical Library).
The conference will feature sessions in the following areas:
 - Innovations in foreign language teaching: Ukrainian and global
experience.
 - The art of language and translation in times of war and crisis:
experience, challenges, and prospects.
 - Interdisciplinary enhancement of the educational process:
cooperation among linguists, psychologists and educators in wartime
and post-war educational spaces.
Special Events:
 - International educational projects in the humanities:
cross-cultural dialogue and the internationalization of education. In
collaboration with the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine. Panel
discussion.
 - ENHANCED didactics of languages: how to create an inspiring
environment in a foreign language classroom (together with the
partners of ENHANCE alliance). In cooperation with the Centre for
Foreign Language Learning at Warsaw University of Technology.
Workshop.
 - Current challenges in the training and certification of
translators. In partnership with the Ukrainian Translators
Association. Roundtable.
 - The echo of war in the educational process: a dialogue between
linguists, educators, and psychologists. World Café Workshop.
 - Empowering educators: integrating virtual exchange for global
competence and internationalisation development. Workshop.
The conference programme includes plenary talks, panel discussions,
round tables, and workshops.
The official languages of the conference are Ukrainian and English.
The conference will be held in a hybrid format. Participation formats:
in-person, remote (online).
To participate in the conference you are kindly requested to:
 - Submit an application not later than May 31, 2025

 - Conference participants are invited to publish their research
papers in Advanced Linguistics (Category B professional journal –
https://al.fl.kpi.ua/about/submissions) and Advanced Education (WoS,
Scopus –  https://ae.fl.kpi.ua/about/submissions).
Participation in the conference is free of charge.
Conference participants will receive the conference programme (in pdf
format) and a certificate of participation (subject to presentation at
the conference).
