12th Fonologi i Norden

We are delighted to announce that the 12th Fonologi i Norden (FiNo)
will be hosted in Tromsø by UiT the Arctic University of Norway on the
11th and 12th of February, 2027.
FiNo is a relatively informal conference for phonologists in the
Nordic countries, phonologists from elsewhere interested in Nordic
topics (broadly understood), and phonologists with no Nordic
connections at all. We invite submissions on any phonological topic,
very much including work in progress.
Please submit your anonymised abstract as a PDF document to
fonologi.i.norden at gmail.com by 1 October 2026, 23:59 CET. The subject
line of your email should be fino 2027 abstract.
Submission Guidelines:
1. One A4 page for the abstract text. References and data
visualisations may be placed together on one additional page.
2. 12 pt. Times New Roman typeface, single line spacing, and 2.5 cm (1
inch) margins.
3. If you use special characters such as IPA symbols, make sure that
they are embedded in your PDF.
4. Please write the names and affiliations of the authors in the text
of your email.
5. Please indicate your preference for presentation style (talk,
poster, or either) in the text of your email.
Relevant Dates:
October 1 – submission deadline.
late November – notifications of acceptance.
February 11 and 12 – FiNo in Tromsø, on-site. Note that online
presentation will not be possible.
