La Section des Sciences du langage et de l’information de la Faculté
des lettres de l’Université de Lausanne met au concours un poste de
maître·sse assistant·e en linguistique générale.
Entrée en fonction : 1er août 2026
Durée du contrat : 2 ans, renouvelable une fois deux ans. En l’état
actuel de la planification académique, ce poste n’est pas destiné à
être stabilisable.
Taux d’activité : 80%
Lieu de travail : Lausanne-Dorigny
Vos activités:
- Charge d’enseignement de 4 heures hebdomadaires (séminaires de
niveau BA ou MA).
- Encadrement des étudiant·e·s, prise en charge d’examens.
- Recherches individuelles.
- Participation aux activités de recherche et à l’administration de la
Section.
Votre profil:
- Doctorat ès Lettres en linguistique dans le domaine de la
morphosyntaxe (ou titre jugé équivalent) ; des compétences et intérêts
complémentaires en sémantique, psycholinguistique, phonétique,
phonologie, pragmatique, sociolinguistique, diachronie ou d’autres
sous-disciplines sont les bienvenus ; le titre de docteur·e doit être
obtenu avant l'entrée en fonction.
- Volonté d’élaborer une recherche dans l’un des sous-domaines listés
ci-dessus ;
- Expérience de l’enseignement et capacité à enseigner en français,
notamment dans le domaine de la morphosyntaxe ;
- Bonne maîtrise de l’anglais ;
- Compétences en linguistique de terrain ou en analyse de données
empiriques organisées en corpus seraient un atout.

The Department of Language and Information Sciences of the Faculty of
Arts at the University of Lausanne is advertising for a lecturer in
general linguistics.
Start date: 1 August 2026
Duration: 2 years, renewable once for 2 years (= max. 4 in total).
Based on current academic planning, this position is not intended to
be permanent.
Workload: 0.8 FTE
Location: Lausanne-Dorigny
Your duties:
- Teaching load of 4 hours per week (BA or MA level seminars)
- Supervision of students, examination duties
- Individual research
- Participation in the research activities and administration of the
Department.
Your profile:
- PhD in linguistics in the field of morphosyntax (or equivalent
qualification); additional skills and interests in semantics,
psycholinguistics, phonetics, phonology, pragmatics, sociolinguistics,
historical linguistics or other sub-disciplines are welcome; the PhD
must have been obtained before taking up the position.
- Willingness to conduct research in one of the sub-fields listed
above;
- Teaching experience and ability to teach in French, particularly in
the field of morphosyntax;
- Good command of English;
- Skills in field linguistics or corpus-based empirical data analysis
would be an advantage.
