We are pleased to welcome you to the joint 17th Spanish Linguistics in
North Carolina (SLINKI) and 12th Spanish Linguistics in the Southeast
(SLISE) conference at Appalachian State University in Boone, North
Carolina, on Friday, March 5 (evening only), and Saturday, March 6,
2027 (full day). The plenary talk will be held on Friday, March 5,
2027, while regular conference sessions and poster sessions will be
held throughout the day on Saturday, March 6, 2027.
We invite abstracts for 20-minute presentations and for poster
sessions in any area related to Hispanic Linguistics. While this
conference highlights work by researchers in the Southeast or who do
research related to Spanish in the Southeast, we encourage submissions
from researchers across the globe.
Abstracts should not exceed 500 words in length (excluding examples,
references, and figures) and may be submitted in either English or
Spanish. Conference presentations may be given in either language.
