Linguistic Field(s): Morphology; Phonology; Pragmatics; Semantics;
Syntax

Submission Deadline: 15-Nov-2026

The 52nd Incontro di Grammatica Generativa (IGG52) will be hosted by
the University of Enna "Kore", Italy, on February 17-19, 2027. IGG is
an annual conference that provides a platform for discussion on
current issues in syntax, semantics, morphology, phonology, and
pragmatics within the framework of generative grammar.
We invite abstract submissions for talks or posters on theoretical
aspects of syntax, semantics, morphology, phonology, and pragmatics
investigated within the framework of generative grammar. Studies
adopting computational and experimental methodologies fit the scope of
the conference, as long as they advance the theory of generative
grammar. Only original research can be presented that has not been
published or accepted for publication at the time of submission. One
person may submit at most one abstract as sole author and one abstract
as co-author (or two co-authored abstracts).
Invited Speakers:
Caterina Donati, LLF (CNRS/Université Paris Cité)
Maria Teresa Guasti, Università Milano Bicocca
Maria Rita Manzini, Università di Firenze
Louise McNally, Universitat Pompeu Fabra
All submissions must be electronic in the form of PDF files. Make sure
that the files are anonymous and must not reveal the identities of the
authors in any form. Abstracts should fit two pages (letter size or A4
paper, 2.5 cm or 1 inch margins on all sides, 12-point font, Times New
Roman or similar), with an additional third page used exclusively for
the following elements: references (obligatory), large figures or
tables, as many lines as there are lines of glosses and translations
in non-English glossed examples. Examples (glossed or not) should be
interspersed in the text, rather than collected at the end.
Abstracts are invited for 20-minute presentations, followed by 10
minutes of discussion, or a poster presentation. Please indicate in
the submission form whether you want your abstract considered for a
talk, poster, or both. Please note that all communications will be in
person.
Abstracts can be submitted via OpenReview starting from October 1 to
November 15, 2026, 23:59 CET (GMT+01:00).
Marica De Vincenzi Award:
The Fondazione ONLUS Marica De Vincenzi
(https://www.fondazionedevincenzi.org/index-eng.html) offers an award
of € 500 for the best paper accepted and presented at IGG52 by an
Italian researcher without a tenure-track position. The award is
preferably, but not exclusively, offered to a formal psycholinguistic
work in line with the goals of the Foundation.
