La société Mason Integrated Technologies, Ltd. (MIT2),

INFO: new Haitian Creole language technologies

Mason Integrated Technologies, Ltd. (MIT2), a software developer
and service provider specialized in language processing solutions
for Creole languages, has announced the successful completion
of the Haitian Creole version of CreoleScan(tm) that is an optical
character recognition (OCR) software package. This software,
used in combination with the CreoleConvert(tm) orthography
conversion software also created by MIT2, is a language
technology solution for anyone working with Haitian Creole
texts. The versions of CreoleScan(tm) and CreoleConvert(tm)
for the Martinican, Guadeloupean, Reunionese, Mauritian,
Seychellois, St. Lucian and Dominican French-lexicon creoles
are currently under development. These products will soon be
made available to publishers, universities, schools and
education systems, bilingual education projects, government
agencies, and translators as part of a comprehensive service
contract package.
