Beste Laaglanders

Ek kan onthou dat toe ek 'n klein kindjie in Nederland was, ek taamlik
gereeld iemand gesien het wat twee emmers water op sy skouers dra met
die hulpmiddel wat Reinhard beskryf het. In ons kontrei (Delft,
Zuid-Holland) is dit 'n juk genoem.

In Afrikaans word die balk wat op die nek van 'n os le wanneer die os
'n wa trek, ook 'n juk genoem.
