Ay, Lawlanners!

[The following is in Scots and in English]

A dout ye'll a aa been thinkin A'd gied up on ScotsteXt, but in fact,  A'v
been ca'in awa at it in the wings, bringin it up ti the pynt whaur it's  a lot
aesier ti maintain, sae's A can spend mair time on actually pittin  up new
texts in the ayont! Ye'll be seein muckle improvements ti  praisentation,
readability an content ower the comin months, tho the'r little o'd ti  be seen
juist the nou!

The'r twae bitties o wittins, tho. Ane is that Andy's set up his ain  "chat
room" on Scots-Online, sae insteed o haein twae chatrooms, A'v deleted  ma ain
"clishmaclaver" chat room an pitten in a link ti Andy's room. This  gies us a
better chance o meetin wi somebody whan we div gae intil't! The ScotsteXt link
leuks juist the same as it did afore.

Syne juist inablo the "Clishmaclaver" link, the'r a new link caa'd "Previews".
This taks ye til a page that'll lat ye link ti the ruch  drafts that's
currently bein prepared, sae if ye gae back every twaethree days ye'll can see
ma wark progressin! A'll be ettlin at keepin up a steedy  inpit o ane or twae
chaipters a week, bit see an ye mind that they'r juist ruch drafts for thame
as canna wait - dinna gae leukin for clifty navigation  or praisentation or
onything!

Maybe you've been thinking I'd given up on ScotsteXt, but in fact I've  been
beavering away at it in the background, bringing it to the point where it's
much easier to maintain, so that I can spend more time on actually  putting up
new texts in future! You should soon start to see big improvements in
presentation, readability and content, although there's little evidence of it
just yet!

There are two snippets of news, however. One is that Andy has set up his own
chat room on "Scots-Online", so instead of having two chatrooms, I've deleted
my "Clishmaclaver" chat room and replaced it with a link to Andy's room. This
gives you a better chance of meeting someone when you go into the chatroom!
There's no visible change to the ScotsteXt link.

Also, just below the "Clishmaclaver" link, you'll now find a new link  named
"Previews". This takes you to a page thet will let you link to the  rough
drafts that are currently being prepared, so if you go back every few days,
you'll be able to inspect the progress of my work! I'm aiming at  keeping up a
steady imput of one or two chapters a week, but do remember that  these are
just rough work for those who can't wait for the finished product -  don't
expect to see good navigational facilities nor presentation nor  anything!
