In the 's-Hertogenbosch area (also Brabant, but more to the east), it is 
used a lot too. Especially while addressing to children. I always told 
myself I was never going to use it, but just the other day I caught myself 
saying it to my 7-month old daughter. Although no one could hear me (except 
my daughter) I turned red: me, a Dutch as a second language teacher!
So, I have to admit in my Dutch I am influenced by the dialect of my region.
BTW: I am proud we have a dialect, and that I can read and speak it (not 
write), but I want my daughter to know standard Dutch too!
