lammer: amber
ae: one (when used as a qualifier)
cowp: usually used as a very, meaning "to capsize (something)", but here
being used in the sense of "cowp"ing drink back over the throat
nae mair: no more
ee: eye
twae: two (East Lothian dialect for "twa")
dule: unhappiness, sadness
dree: suffer, undergo
awa: away
fowr: four
sma': small
rowth: abundance
wale: choice
sax: six
ower: over
seeven: seven
aucht: eight
fire-flaucht: lightening stroke
blae: greyish-blue
nicht: night
gane: gone
Note the implied "that" (or "which"), very common in Scots:
"an the day has come [that] will never set to thee"
