Kan het zijn dat "glöinig" hetzelfde woord is als Brabants "geloeieg" < Mnl.
"gloeyendich" (~ glühend (G)). Het wordt bij ons vooral figuurlijk gebruikt
om een overtreffende trap aan te geven, bijvoorbeeld: 't Was ne geloeiege
stoemerik (= hij was ongelooflijk dom), 't Was geloeieg iët (= het was
gloeiend heet).

We zeggen dus niet "gloeiend" (zoals in het ABN), maar eigenlijk
"gloeiend-ig", net zoals we ook zeggen "razend-ig" en niet "razend" zoals
gebruikelijk in de standaardtaal: 't Was ne razendigen boek (wordt gezegd
van een man die zich erg onstuimig, razend, gedraagt...boek = bok ~
