QU: Nahuatl words -- accented in English?

What is strange is that modern accentuation of place names is frequently
different from appropriate Nahuatl accentuation.  For example Teotihuacan
should be TeotiHUAcan, but is written today as Teotihuacán.  Similarly
ChimalHUAcan but written today as Chimalhuacán
