Dear Members of The Siam Society,

The Siam Society would like to extend our sincere condolences for the loss of Dr Pierre Pichard, a renowned French architect and archaeologist who played a critical role in the conservation of monumental heritage in Asia.

Through The Siam Society’s several collaborations with Ecole française d'Extrême-Orient (EFEO), Dr Pierre Pichard has greatly contributed to The Siam Society. In 2000, he was granted an Honorary Membership which recognises people who have distinguished themselves in the arts, humanities or sciences.

We extend our heartfelt sympathies to his family and may his legacy live on.
