Hi Val and Nana –
yes I agree – smile the right spelling is perfect as well ( I agree)
and
Nana did not chose the movement on the right – (uff) at least you wrote a different sign – (huh?)
Have a second look at your spelling (source Valerie) -
and thank you so much for the intense email – lessons from the past few years. We discussed when to chose the rotation symbol for the baby-finger or the thumb – aspect of feeling – but then placement of the babyfinger rotation on top of the symbol and the rotation – curve ( downward) below –
Do you remember?
As I said before – spelling questions are so interesting ..
Stefan ;-))

Attached you find my two spellings ( at least my guess what the movement may look like?)
Hello Stefan, Nana and Everyone -
Both of these SignSpellings are correct for the letter J in the US...People here sign it differently. The June to the left does the movement with the forearm parallel to the floor. The June to the right keeps the forearm parallel to the wall...upright...and the curve follows the baby finger moving toward the front wall and side left...but the arm remains in one place...Think of black paint on your baby finger...it is painting a curve in space...
As far as deciding on a standard way of writing it...the one on the left is more standard here...but since Nana chose the movement on the right, it is ok by me since it describes one style of signing...
Val ;-)
