Hello Kathleen and Everyone!
SignWriting was an active part of the first workshop:
Sign Language Processing Workshop, Lisbon, May 30, 2004
http://www.signwriting.org/forums/software/lisbon/
If you go to the above web page you will see photos and papers from
programmers from all over the world. Quite a number of programs
presented in 2004 included SignWriting. Some were from Belgium. Bart
Braem and Steven Aerts, who programmed the Flemish Sign Language
Dictionary, presented there, as did Dr. Antonio Carlos da Rocha Costa
from Brazil, and Richard Gleaves, who developed SignWriter DOS...
One of the presenters was Chiara from Italy, and it was Chiara who
wrote to me to announce this new workshop...so I would suggest
writing to Chiara...smile...
