ABC (A Basic Course in Manual Communication).  It's been a standard around Gallaudet for years to walk through English and ASL grammar through the process of learning particular signs and their placement.

Thanks for this information. This is what we needed to know ;-)

I guess they are individual signs in a dictionary....using American 
signs that exist in ASL...but maybe he is not trying to teach grammar...

If you were to choose a course in American Sign Language to write in 
SignWriting, which one would you choose?
