SignWriting List

Hi Maria -
Yes...that is a good idea...

Anyone on Malta is welcome to start using SignPuddle, not only in your
private WebPuddle, but also in the public Maltese Dictionary, which
would be great, to start to fill as well...SignPuddle offers us
features that the old SignWriter DOS and Java programs cannot. With
SignPuddle, our writing becomes more compatible with modern software,
and SignPuddle is continually being improved and updated, where the
old software is not being programmed any longer...

I am excited about the new SignPuddle 2.0, which Steve is working on
right now...It will have the new International SignWriting Alphabet
installed (the ISWA 2008), and some new software features. Every new
feature is an improvement...

Years ago, we pasted jpgs for ASL signs that were taken from the old
SignWriter DOS dictionary, into SignPuddle, with the idea that we
would "re-write" the signs in SignPuddle later...But I regret that
because we never completed re-writing the signs, and they are not
available as SWML at the moment...so we need to go back in and find
all of the signs that have to be re-written...

When the time comes that you wish to use your SignPuddle signs and
documents with Microsoft Word, or other software, just ask how to do
it, and I will be glad to show you...
