? in ISWA I have some information, but I would like to understand better with examples.

ANSWER:

The symbols you are referring to, are not used to write signs for everyday use.

Detailed Location Symbols are used by researchers who need a way to document detailed location information.

Dictionary writers sometimes need to use Detailed Location Symbols for the SignSpelling Sequences needed to sort signs in long lists by computer. Some signs may use the same hand and movement symbols, but only differ in their location, close or far, depth, maybe the sign is located behind your back, and other details that might differentiate the signs by their location but are otherwise written the same as other signs.

So when sorting signs by computer the Detailed Location Symbols are needed to show where the sign is located in relation to the center of the body.
