Dear colleagues,

the issue 16 of Alkukoti is now published.

If you have any questions, how to get the journal, please contact at
sukukansojenystavatry at gmail.com

Alkukoti is the only popular journal about Finno-Ugric languages, peoples
and cultures in the world.

The articles are published in Finnish. If we get good articles in any other
language, they are translated to Finnish. But in this number we published
one article in Karelian, provided with a word list.

The issue contains poems in Moksha and prayers in Udmurt language, provided
with a Finnish translation.

This issue actually does not have any special theme, but it contains among
other things many articles about the Sami and Karelian peoples in Finland
as well as an analysis of the results of the latest census of Russia.

As we wrote in previous letter we are now accepting submissions for issue
17 of Alkukoti!

Best regards

Editor-in-chief of

Alkukoti

Esa-Jussi Salminen
