Further to Till Ulenspieghel.

- Since the first editions in all languages put the story in Low Saxony,
this question:
. *What is the oldest still existing version in a Low German variant
(excluding Dutch)?*
. Where was it published? In what language variant? (Westfälisch,
Pommerisch?)
*(I would exclude the discussion whether the 1510-1515 Strasbourg edition in
high German is based on a Low-Saxon original or not, since such an original
is speculative, controversial and has never been found)*

- I guess the later De Coster version (playing in 16th centurry Flanders,
written in French) got its popularity because of the dramatic thread De
Coster added to a collection of jokes. The De Coster edition has been
translated in several languages (try Amazon).
Question: *Is the De Coster edition also translated in Low-German variants?*

Regards,
Roger
