betekent: groot, plomp dier, goeiige hond enz.

There's also another form of this word, "loebas", just as "lobbes" it means
a big, clumsy animal, a good-natured dog etc
In sound it may be influenced by "doerak"? That originally Russian loan is
(was) often used as a dog's name, it also means rascal.

There's also a word "lobbig", it means wide, large, inelegant, of clothes.

Groet,
Ingmar

Beste Denis,

In dutch " een goeie lobbes" means "a good and friendly bloke". Always
wondered which linguistic reference this one had.
