classifier query

Is that not shortened from (ÍÑÇ)¹íéÒà»ÅèÒ à»ç¹¢Ç´´´ '(aw) naam plao pen khuat'? Is the word really a classifier in this case? 


On the other hand, in Thai you can use any classifier without a numeral 
but with a demonstrative adjective.
