Another decidedly anemic descendant of Tom Swift was the loathsome prig,
Gallant, from the moralistic cartoon strip "Goofus & Gallant" that used to
appear in the children's mag, /Highlights/ that we used to find in waiting
rooms in the 50's & 60's. Some of you Boomers will probably remember it.
