The terminology from the SNORRE terminology database available from Språkbanken

Språkbanken<http://www.sprakbanken.no/>, the language technology resource collection for Norwegian at the National Library of Norway, has been given permission to publish parallel lists of the terms in the multilingual terminology database SNORRE.

SNORRE is a database consisting of subject-specific terminology from a number of different fields. SNORRE has been developed by Standards Norway, the main organization responsible for standardization activities in Norway, in collaboration with The Language Council of Norway. The result is a database containing standardized terminology, with technical terms and their definitions and explanations, in Norwegian Bokmål, Norwegian Nynorsk, English, French and German, as well as synonyms and abbreviations.

Språkbanken now offers the dictionary version of the database SNORRE, containing parallel lists of terms in the different languages (the definitions are not included). As of today, there are about 53.500 entries in the dictionary altogether. The list can be downloaded from www.sprakbanken.no<http://www.sprakbanken.no> as tab-separated plain text.
