There's Babel, or the Necessity of Violence by R.F. Kuang - it's FABULOUS, and has some Chinese in it.

I recognize the university sits on land within the traditional territories of the Bayogoula and Chahta Yakni peoples.

Dear All,
A teacher in one of the high schools that are piloting a new Language and
Culture course
<https://www.ibo.org/globalassets/new-structure/university-admission/pdfs/language-and-culture-subject-brief-en.pdf>
for the International Baccalaureate (IB) is looking for a full-length
language-related ethnography about M?ori speakers to assign students.
Journal articles would also be helpful, but the course requires students to
read at least two full-length ethnographies, and the teacher would really
like one of them to be about M?ori speakers.
Any sugggestions? Thanks in advance for your help!
Laura Ahearn

Dear All,
Here's another request for help from one of the IB Language and Culture
<https://www.ibo.org/globalassets/new-structure/university-admission/pdfs/language-and-culture-subject-brief-en.pdf>
teachers: do you have any recommendations for a full-length
language-related ethnography that focuses on translation, ideally focusing
on Chinese speakers?
Many thanks for being a key resource to these high school teachers!
