He added that though there are some provisions in the constitution for language rights practicalities of them are very limited. Minister Ganeshan was speaking at a function held at his Ministry today. An MOU was signed at the function between Sri Lankan and Canadian governments in regard to promoting language equality. Secretary to the Ministry Vajira Narampanawa and Sri Lankan Ambassador of Canada signed the document. Foreign Minister of Canada Stephan Lion was also present at the event.
